Embracing the Power of Reflection

Reflecting on my coaching sessions has been a game-changer for my practice. I took just 10 minutes after each session last week to jot down key takeaways, and it shifted my approach for the better. I’m curious how others incorporate reflection into their workflows — any favorite techniques or tools that you use?

Reflecting on sessions is so valuable! I find that recording audio notes right after each session, instead of just writing, helps me capture my thoughts more fluidly. It feels more personal and provides a nice record to look back on later.

It’s great to see the shift reflection brings! I’ve started using a simple app for journaling right after sessions; it feels like chatting with an old friend. It’s funny how some of my best insights come when I’m not even trying! @lewis85, do you think voice notes could catch nuances that writing might miss?

I love the idea of jotting down takeaways! I’ve been using a simple note app for quick reviews, often after just 5 minutes… What specific takeaways have helped most in your sessions?

But reflection’s like sharpening a knife — without it, you’re just using a blunt tool! One technique I’ve found useful is setting aside a few quiet moments after sessions to visually map out my thoughts. It’s pretty enlightening to see patterns emerge.
