I’m in Queens and I’d consider it if it’s $25–$35/hr and they cluster sessions in one area; bouncing between NYC, LI, and CT on a part-time schedule is a dealbreaker. Coaching under the NYCFC badge is legit experience, though.

I’d only take it if the pay actually covers the travel between NYC/LI/Westchester/CT because that commute will chew up time and gas. NYCFC on the resume is solid and their curricula are usually good, but part-time youth gigs are mostly evenings/weekends with inconsistent hours.

Did a similar setup last fall; I only made it work by getting them to guarantee 2–3 back-to-back sessions at one site and a mileage/toll stipend — otherwise the $35/hr evaporated. Ask for a fixed region per day (like Queens Tue/Thu, Westchester Sat) so you’re not ping-ponging.
